Mile 1 · What we do

The wrenches we bring to the curb.

Mobile means most of a real shop, on your driveway. We don't pull transmissions roadside, but everything you'd normally tow in for — we handle on the spot, with a written quote first.

  • Svc.01

    Diagnostics

Code-pull, live data, drive-analysis. Find the fault before throwing parts at it.

  • Svc.02

    Batteries & charging

Test, jump, replace. Alternators, voltage regulators, parasitic-draw hunts.

  • Svc.03

    Brakes

Pads, rotors, calipers, brake-line service. Squeal-to-quiet on your driveway.

  • Svc.04

    Starters

No-crank, no-start, slow-crank. Starter swap or solenoid repair on the spot.

  • Svc.05

    Fluid services

Oil & filter, coolant flush, transmission top-off, brake bleed, power-steering.

  • Svc.06

    Tire repair

Off-rim plugs, sidewall inspections, balance checks. Studded-tire seasonal swaps.

  • Svc.07

    Cooling system

Radiator, water pump, thermostat, hoses. Overheat triage before tow money.

  • Svc.08

    Light electrical

Lights, sensors, fuses, harnesses. Trailer-wiring, dash codes, key fobs.

Mile 2 · Why mobile

We meet you
where the car
died.

The brick-and-mortar shop model assumes your car can get to the shop. The mobile model assumes it can't — and most of the time, it doesn't need to.

  1. Mile
    01

    No tow bill.

Tows in Anchorage run $150–$300 before anyone even looks at your car. We come to the car and you skip that bill entirely.

  2. Mile
    02

    No service writer.

You talk to the person turning the wrench. The diagnosis comes from the same mouth that does the repair.

  3. Mile
    03

    No lobby.

No clock-ticking, no waiting room TV, no awkward up-sell. The car gets fixed where it sits.

  4. Mile
    04

    Quote before any wrench moves.

We look, we tell you the price, you say yes or no. Nothing surprise about the invoice at the end.

Mile 3 · Service area

If you can see
Chugach from
your driveway,
we can get there.

Routine work runs the Anchorage bowl out to Eagle River and Chugiak. Girdwood and the Hwy 1 corridor are by appointment — call to schedule.

Mile 4 · About

Anchorage-based.
Mobile-only.
On the road today.

We run AK Mobil Services out of a truck instead of a shop because most of what breaks on a car doesn't actually need a lift. A starter, a battery, a brake job, a no-crank diagnosis — all of that gets done faster on your driveway than at a stall, and you don't pay the tow on top.

Based at 932 E 45th Ct in midtown Anchorage. Service radius runs from Government Hill to the Hillside, JBER to Eagle River, with Girdwood and the south corridor by appointment. We don't do after-hours emergency by default — call early and we'll get there the same day.

We're a working mechanic, not a chain. Calls and texts come straight to the truck.

Mile 5 · FAQ

The questions
the phone
actually gets.

If yours isn't here, the phone (907) 290-4498 is the fastest way to a yes-or-no.

  • Diagnostic call-out is a flat $85 in the Anchorage bowl, applied toward the repair if you book the work. Eagle River / Chugiak is $110, Girdwood by quote. No surprise mileage on the invoice.

  • Same-day if you call before noon on a weekday. Most calls are scheduled inside a 2-hour window so you're not waiting half a day on the porch. Saturday slots fill up by Wednesday.

  • We tell you BEFORE we start. If it needs a lift or a tear-down we don't carry tools for, we'll say so and recommend a brick-and-mortar shop. You still owe the $85 diag and that's it.

  • Common wear parts (batteries, common brake pads, basic belts/hoses, common bulbs) ride with us. Anything else we either pick up the same day or you can buy yourself and we'll install.

  • Cash, card (chip reader in the truck, no extra fee), Venmo, and Zelle. No checks. Invoice gets emailed within 24 hours.

  • Light-duty diesel pickups yes. Hybrids — most service items yes, high-voltage system no. Full EVs we don't service. Call and we'll tell you straight whether it's a fit.

  • Yes, with a caveat: -10°F and below, we may ask you to plug in a block heater or move the vehicle into a covered space first so we can actually work on it. Cold-weather no-starts are most of our December calls.

  • We'll give a ballpark range over the phone for known jobs (battery swap, brake pads, oil change). Anything diagnostic needs eyes on the car — that's what the call-out is for.
